Recently I have been wondering whether Mike has been producing a sketch for some sort of new children's program. If you grew up in the glorious 90's I am pretty sure you will know what I am talking about when I attach further down the page an image of what Mike has been working on. If I remember correctly there was one where basically the whole program was based on a couple of Penguins who lived in the Antarctic and just got up to all sorts of mischief. This image of the illustration we have been producing very much reminds me of these programs. Anyway people rather than keeping you in further suspense I thought I'd attach the image near the top of the article so that so actually know what I am talking about rather than me just babbling on without you having any evidence as such.
It must be said that this illustration above is very similar in terms of looking realistic, compared to most of childrens programs that I was watching 15 years ago, I suppose that shows the difference in technology over the past 10 or so years. It seems quite unbelievable that some of these programs were still made based on plasticine characters such as Wallace and Gromit.
I have been staring at this image for the past hour at least and I am still confused as to why the Penguin on the left is dressed as a Roman. I could be wrong about this but the last time I looked the Romans didn't manage to conquer Antartica and nor do any Penguins exist in Italy. Then again I suppose there will be Penguins in at least one of the zoo's throughout Italy, so maybe this could be an advert to promote the arrival of some Penguins to Rome Zoo for example, who knows?
I will be updating you as soon as I get another idea of what this illustration could be for.
Matt
