Prove It Night

I am sure you have gathered by now that eatsleepthink is a company that support and are big fans of the work that charities do. It is because of this passion for charities that we have been supporting a newly founded local charity based in the center of Sheffield. The charity is called Youth 4 Youth's and Ryte Step and has been set up by a few young people who want to take young people off the streets and therefore stopping them from getting into trouble which can be associated with hanging around on the streets.

This flyer above was designed by ourselves based on an initial draft designed by Ryte Step and Youth 4 Youth themselves. The event was hosted by Ryte Step and Youth 4 Youth's in their building in the center of Sheffield. In principle the event was aimed at unearthing some talent in terms of dance or singing, but also as a way of bringing in some funds to help maintain Ryte Step and Youth 4 Youth's allowing them to continue to work with vulnerable young people. We have heard that the event was a success and whilst in the studio today we have been listening to some of the bands that showcased their talents on Prove It Night. Personally I was quite impressed with a number of the songs, a couple had really nice catchy tunes to them. As noted on the flyer the person or indeed group that performed the best at the event were to be awarded £100 in prize money. This prize money was solely donated to Ryte Step and Youth 4 Youth by eatsleepthink design.

VE E-Newsletters

Hello I am back after an absence of about 3 weeks, it seems ages since I posted my last topic about the Mi Book we produced for Sheffield Futures. During that time I have been on my holidays and spent most of last week catching back up on some work. I'm sure you'll be pleased to know that I have finally managed to find some space in my busy schedule for the blog. I would like to blog about some work which has been part of the studio for the past 3 months or so. We have designed a number of E-Newsletter designs for different teams within Volunteering England. This is the first of the designs which was for the Policy and Information team of Volunteering England. The use of VE's brand colour has been maintained as well as the Policy and Information team brand colour. These colours are as can be seen below, the VE orange and the Policy and Information purple. 

 

The second of the E-Newsletter designs was for the Further and Higher Education (FHE) team of Volunteering England. Once again the brand colours of both VE and FHE have been implemented with the VE orange and the blue of FHE. It may be worth pointing out to those of you who don't know what an E-Newsletter is that this is not all of the e-newsletter, this is just the header design. We designed the rest of the newsletter however I am not able to disclose this at the moment. The template designed for the E-Newsletter is used over and over again by the client and therefore the system is designed so that different content can be placed in the Newsletter without having to come back to us again.

 

And the final header design of the series of E-Newsletters was for Volunteering England themselves and therefore solely features the VE brand colour. The E-Newsletter for VE is to be sent out to members of VE. Note how the design of the headers remains very similar throughout which shows that these teams are essentially sub sections of Volunteering England.

 

The thing that I like the most about the design of these E-Newsletter headers is the faded part of the logo that sits in the background but still makes a nice difference to the design of the header.
